Lunch, Japanese style
Feb. 12th, 2022 03:10 pm As a late birthday present, my sister treated me to a ramen shop near her old college campus. This was my first taste of ramen that wasn't your average "supermarket instant noodles" variety.
The first thing I ate from my chicken katsu bowl, according to my sister, was bamboo. The actual noodles were deep underneath the broth. Oops!
Eating out in places like this are probably the only time I'll be open to eating leafy green vegetables, maybe because spinach leaves are one of the few foods I can effectively grasp with chopsticks. All in all, it was an interesting experience that I wouldn't mind having again.
